The Gurudeva Institute of Science And Technology (GISAT) started functioning during the academic year 2010. It is run by Sree Narayana Guru Trust constituted by the SNDP Yogam, Kottayam Union. The trust is committed to the objectives of promoting equality, fraternity and secularism based on the teachings of Sree Narayana Guru. GISAT offers B.Tech Degree program in five branches of engineering; viz, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering. The intake in each branch is 60. Engineering diploma holders are admitted to the third semester of the B.Tech course under the lateral entry scheme.

A candidate must have passed plus two science group with at-least 60% marks in aggregate and 50% or more marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics separately. Admission to the Under Graduate programs will be based on entrance examination conducted by the commissioner of entrance examinations, Govt. of Kerala.
