The College of Engineering Pathanapuram is one of the fourteen Professional institution established in the year 2011 by the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education (CAPE), an undertaking of the Government of Kerala. The College is located at Elikkatoor in Kollam district of Kerala. It is situated at a serene ambience in a vast area of twenty five acres, which is 7 Kms from Punalur and 8 Kms from Pathanapuram. The AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) has given approval for the conduct of the courses. The state government has sanctioned the four B.Tech degree courses, and the Cochin University of Science and Technology has academically accredited it.

Admission & Eligibility criteria

Admission is made as per the rank obtained by eligible candidates in the state-level Common Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala State.50% of the seats in the Colleges under CAPE will be allotted by the CEE as per the reservation policy of the Government. So also, 35% of seats under Management quota under these institutions are also allotted by the CEE on merit basis and 15% N.R.I seat filled by CAPE on the basis of rank. Lateral entry : The Engineering Diploma holders are admitted directly to the 3rd semester.

(a) Candidates who have passed higher secondary examination, Kerala or examinations recognized equivalent thereto, with 50 %marks in mathematics separately, and 50 % marks in Physics, Chemistry and mathematics put together are eligible for admission

(b) Candidates who have a diploma in Engineering awarded by the board of Technical Examinations or an Examination recognized equivalent thereto, by the state board of Technical Education after undergoing an institutional course of at least 3 years securing a minimum of 50% marks in the final diploma Examination are eligible for admission.
