College of Engineering Perumon is one among the prestigious eight engineering colleges under CAPE (Co-operative Academy of Professional Education) established by the Government of Kerala in the year 2000 and is affiliated to Cochin University of Science And Technology ( CUSAT ). From 2015 Onwards College of Engineering Perumon Is under KERALA TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY (KTU)..

The Institution under CAPE is to function on a no profit no loss basis, a system upheld by the Supreme Court of India and found ideal for adoption by other States. The State Govt. have issued sanction for the conduct of the four courses in B.Tech degree in this institution

B.Tech

The Candidate shall have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (Class XII) of Board of Higher Secondary Examination. Govt. of Kerala with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as subjects or any other examinations accepted as equivalent there to by the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT).The Candidate shall have secured a minimum of 50% marks for Mathematics as well as for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

In the case of candidates belonging to socially and educationally backward classes (referred to in G.O (P) 208/66/Edn. Dated 2.5.1966, as amended from time to time) the minimum marks requirements are 45% for mathematics and 45% for mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.In the case of SC/ST students only a pass in the Higher Secondary examination (Class XII) with the above subjects.

Selection is made as per the rank obtained by eligible candidates in the state-level Common Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala State. Out of the total seats available 50% seats are under the state quota and 35% are under the management quota and the remaining 15 % are under the NRI quota. For all the categories of seats the various fees are fixed by the Govt. and for the state quota seats the fees fixed is same as that in Govt. Engineering Colleges / comparable to that in Govt. Engineering Colleges. To the state quota and the management quota the students are admitted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) based on the rank obtained in the entrance test and observing all reservation norms as applicable to the Govt. Engineering Colleges. In the case of NRI seats the students are admitted based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. This college is the choice of top rank holders in the CEE. Eligibility for admission is as per the rules and regulations of the Commissioner of the Entrance Examinations, which are stipulated by the Govt. of Kerala, and as per the course regulations of the Kerala Technological University (KTU). The eligibility criteria are included in section 6.1.

Lateral Entry

Admission to lateral Entry Seats Will Be based on the rank in the Lateral Entry Test conducted by Directorate of Technical Education. 15% N.R.I seat filled by CAPE on the basis of rank.

M.Tech

First class(60% marks) or Percentage equivalent of GPA in BE/B.Tech in any discipline or AMIETE/AMIE or in MSc Physics with Electronics as special Subject or in MSc Mathematics .For SC/ST candidates , a pass in the qualifying degree examination is sufficient.
