College of Engineering Kottarakkara (CEK), Kottarakkara was established in 2004. The institution is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to CUSAT. College was established under aegis of Institute of Human Resource Development (IHRD) a Kerala Government undertaking. IHRD is an autonomous institute established by the Government of Kerala. It has a very large network of educational institutions with more than 50 institutions under it including engineering colleges, applied science colleges, polytechnics and technical higher secondary. It has an intake of 60 in CSE and 120 in ECE.
