University College of Engineering, Kariavattom

The University College of Engineering was established in 2000, at the Kariavattom campus and is directly managed by the University of Kerala, with the motive of becoming a model institution for technical education in the State. The college has also served as a model in several matters including the fee structure. The college also admits students under the NRI quota. Foreign students also choose this college for their studies. The institute is recognized by AICTE, New Delhi.

Admission Process Admission to the various courses is based on the performance of the students in the Common Entrance Examination, conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination, Government of Kerala and also on the basis of the relevant reservation norms. Only the cream of over 50,000 aspirants appearing for the Entrance Examination is admitted Details of Courses 85% Merit/Management Seats – students will be allotted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations based on the Counseling conducted by the CEE. 15% NRI Seats – Separate Counseling will be conducted by the University and select the candidates based on the merit and followed by the first come first serve basis.
