SI-MET College of Nursing was established in 2009 and is affiliated to KUHS and University of Kannur. It is also approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC). It’s on the state highway situated between Kasaragod and Kanhanged. It is 11 km away from Kasaragod.
The college has excellent facilities. The college is offering 4 year BSC nursing degree programme with one year compulsory internship. The first batch of students for the academic year 2009-10 has been admitted from the rank list prepared by LBS entre Thiruvananthapuram. After that 50% merit seats were filled up from the rank list prepared by LBS centre. Remaining 50% seats were filled up by SI-MET.
SIMET is one of the prestigious project with an objective to improve the Medical and Paramedical education in different systems of Medicines like Allopathy, Ayurveda, Homeo and Sidha. It also intends to strengthen the research approach in these fields. The institute is planning to host a variety of academic and research programmes in the field of Health and allied sciences under its management.
