Cochin College of Engineering and Technology (CCET), located in Mallapuram was established by the Cochin Foundation Trust. The Trust was started in the year 2011, as a Public Charitable and Educational Trust with its registered office in Thrissur. The trust was started with a vision to offer quality technical education and to make students excel in all their endeavours. The trust is functioning without any business favours or profit motives. The institute is affiliated to Calicut University and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
