Baselios Mathews II College of Engineering is a professional college situated in Sasthamcotta of Kollam district. This college is popularly known as BMCE. The college was established in the year 2002. BMCE is named after its founder, Late H.H Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Mathews II, the sixth Catholicons of the East and the Malankara Metropolitan of Malankara Orthodox Church. It is a self- financing Engineering college managed by Dr. C T Eapen Trust under Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.
Baselios Mathews II College of Engineering is a self financed institute affiliated to University of Kerala and approved by AICTE. The college offers Bachelor of Technology course. The institution started functioning with the monumental objective of promoting academic excellence and competence in students, especially in the fast-growing global domain of Engineering and Technology.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates for admission to the B.Tech degree course shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or 12th Standard V.H.S.E., C.B.S.E., I.S.C. or any examination accepted by the university as equivalent thereto obtaining not less than 50% in Mathematics and 50% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ Bio- technology/ Computer Science/ Biology put together, or a diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Education, Kerala.
