Al Azhar College of Engineering & Technology was established under Noorul Islam Trust in Thodupuzha in 2010 as a private sector self-financing engineering college affiliated to Kerala Technological University and MG university Kottayam.The institute has the approval of AICTE and Government of Kerala. The institute is conceived as a center of excellence, providing opportunities to the students for learning through realization, building self-confidence with global outlook, achieving knowledge management with healthy and ethical outlook. The institution focuses on infusing discipline and direction into the future technologists.

At Al Azhar College of Engineering & Technology both the faculty and students are encouraged and given full support to pursue the research on the subject of their choice. The institute also offers exposure in the form of workshops and lectures by imminent industry leaders.

Al Azhar College of Engineering and Technology (AACET), Kerala was esablished in 2005 as a part of the AL-AZHAR group of educational institution under the aegis of Noorul Islam Trust. The trust has been established with the noble as well as elevated vision of imparting sound wisdom and knowledge to the illiterate masses in Kerala especially with a view to educating the developing young men and Women in and around Idukki district.
