The Younus College of Engineering was started in the year 2002, by Fathima Memorial Educational Trust, at Thalachira, Kottarakara, Kollam. This is a Self financing Engineering College in the private sector, recognized by Govt. of Kerala and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The College is affiliated to the University of Kerala. The College is well set to bring out competent quality engineers. In order to impart technical education, the trust decided to set up an Engineering College.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

Eligibility conditions and reservation are as per notifications issued by Government of Kerala from time to time. 50% of the total seats are filled up by the Govt. of Kerala, as per the list prepared on the basis of Common Entrance Examinations, Govt. of Kerala. The remaining 50% seats are Management Quota seats.

Academic qualification required for admission for B.Tech course

Pass in Higher Secondary Examination or the equivalent Examination recognized by the University of Kerala with 50% marks in Mathematics separately and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Math put together.

Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Education, examination or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto by the State Board of Technical educations, after undergoing an institutional course of at least three years duration securing a minimum of 50% marks in Final Diploma Examination.

RELAXATION IN MARKS

5% relaxation in marks for Muslim and others belonging to socially and educationally backward class students with family income not exceeding Rs.4.5 lakhs per annum are available. Those who require relaxation under this clause must attach a copy of community and income certificate along with the application for admission

ELIGIBILTY FOR M.TECH COURSE

The candidates shall be an Indian National.

The candidates should have studied the Graduate course in an Institution approved by the AICTE/ Deemed Universities.

Candidates should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the Engineering Degree examination. For SC/ ST candidates a pass in the Engineering Degree course is sufficient. For SEBC students, a minimum of 54% aggregate marks in the Engineering Degree examination is mandatory.
