Vidya Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) was established in August 2003 with the aim of providing outcome based education to students of engineering and technology. An experiential mission statement aligned to a futuristic vision holds the entire institution and the stakeholders together in the continuous pursuit of excellence. Vidya Academy of Science & Technology is a unit of Vidya International Charitable Trust. The trust was constituted with a vision to provide state-of-the-art higher education and training to our younger generation who will be highly sought after by leading business houses worldwide.
Vidya Academy of Science & Technology Technical Campus is approved by AICTE, Affiliated to A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University and University of Kerala. It has also secured ISO 9001:2008 certifications. It is also a recognized research center for Doctoral Research for Department of EEE and Dept. of CSE from Anna University, Chennai. College is also awaiting the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for next year.
For B. Tech program, fifty percent of the students are selected by the Government of Kerala from the rank list prepared based on the Common Entrance Examination conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations and fifty percent of the students are selected by the management from a list prepared by them
