Vaidyaratnam PS Varier Ayurveda College (VPSVAC), located in Malappuram was established in 1959. It is approved by Central Council of Indian Medicine & is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Science for various post graduate and under graduate courses.
Locating at Kottakal, the ideal geographic location, good climate has made external purification and most effective for treatment of many psychosomatic disorders.
The college provides four years of Bachelor in Ayurvedic Medicine & surgery degree course, five Ayurvedic postgraduate courses. It has now grown into a multi-unit, multi-disciplinary and multi-crore organization. It has operations in different areas of Ayurvedic practice. VPSVAC manages Ayurvedic Hospitals at Kottakkal, Delhi and Kochi. All classical Ayurvedic medicines, therapies and expert medical advice are available there. The college has well equipped quality control labs, full-fledged research activities, publishes Ayurvedic periodical and books, conducts educational programmes.
