S.S. College is the addition to a cluster of institutions, that studs the sprawling green fields belonging to the Poothotta S.N.D.P. Yogam branch. At the centre of the complex is the Sree Narayana Sreevallabha Temple consecrated by the World Guru Sree Narayana. His exhortation, “Attain freedom through education” is sincerely followed by the management. The students and staff are guided by a group of inspired idealists at the helm of the management. The college was sanctioned by the Kerala Government and affiliated with the M.G. University in the year 2002. The college started functioning in September 2002 with four courses – BCA, B.Sc. Computer Science, B. Com with Computer Application and M.Sc. IT. There was a total enrolment of 95 students that year. In 2005 two more courses were added to it BSc. Mathematics (Computer Application) and M. Com (Finance Stream). In 2011 M.Sc. CS also was sanctioned. And now the college functions with five under graduate courses and two Post Graduate Courses.
