St. Aloysius College, Edathua is a first-grade college which has completed fifty-one years of glorious service to the cause of higher education. The college was established in 1965 as a junior college, it was the only seat of higher learning in the region. Now, it is a well-established NAAC re-accredited center of learning offering a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate programs and Ph D.
In 1983, following the bifurcation of Kerala University, the college came under the jurisdiction of the newly established Mahatma Gandhi University. The institution envisions the formation of global citizens with academic excellence and integrity of character.
