Santhigiri Ayurveda Medical College (SAMC), Palakkad was established in 2000. The college is recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine & is affiliated to KUHS Univesity.
SAMC was initiated by GURU to expose the vision of Nava Arogya Dharma Siddhantham developed on Guru’s idology and interpretation. SAMC, Palakkad is established with the aim to revive the holistic process of Ayurveda treatment practised traditionally. Research opportunities are provided to deserving students at Navajyothisree Karunakara Guru Research Centre for Ayurveda & Siddha, Uzhavoor, Kottayam. It is the need of the hour to modify the science of life, “Ayurveda” to suit into present modern life style without loosing its tradition and essence. The Institute is well equipped with all modern facility.A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students at Chaitanya Ayurved Mahavidyalaya in its various departments.
The vision of SAMC is to bringing up a group of doctors of profound scholarship having deep basis of Ayurveda with scientific knowledge in accordance with Ayurvedic fundamentals with extensive practical training and the great principles of Arogya Dharma Siddhantham envisioned by Guru.
The college offers a five and half year programme-BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) which includes one-year Compulsory Rotatory Resident Internship.
