Rajiv Gandhi Institute of pharmacy (RGIP), located at Meeliyat, Trikaripur, Kasaragod was established in 2004. It is approved by Pharmacy council of India & is affiliated to KUHS University.
The college was started with an objective of promoting educational and charitable services. It aims to upgrade the Pharmacy Institute into a research centre in pharmaceutical sciences and to establish a study centre to promote medical, paramedical and technical education. To provide the professional service among the student community to unleash the ingenious potentials of their brains.
RGIP offers an undergraduate course in Pharmacy (B. Pharm) and post graduate course (M, Pharm). By 2008 about 1300 graduates passed out every year from these pharmacy Institution. Even though the pharmaceutical industry has not grown in Kerala the graduates find suitable places in pharmaceutical industries outside the state or abroad or in hospital environments.
