Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology (MBCET) is located at Nalanchira in Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala).MBCET was established in the year 2002 by the Malankara Catholic Church and is administered by the Malankara Catholic Educational Society of the Major Arch Diocese of Thiruvananthapuram. The institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to University of Kerala.

B. Tech.

Academic : Pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or an examination recognized equivalent thereto with at least Fifty percent marks in Mathematics separately and Fifty percent marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / equivalent subjects put together or equivalent grade. The percentage/number of seats other than NRI seats proposed to be reserved for various groups is given in College Brochure, Annexure F. Rounding off of the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is not permitted.

Management Quota Merit Seats

Subject to any orders that may be passed by the Courts, admission will be on the basis of merit only by adding marks obtained in the entrance examination conducted by State Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and the marks obtained for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ equivalent in the qualifying examination. The marks will be apportioned in the ratio of 50:50. Candidates belonging to all denominations in Christian Community are eligible to be considered in the community quota seats.

Merit list for the different categories will be published in the college website/college notice boards. Selection will strictly be in the order of merit. Selected candidates will not be intimated by post and they are advised to refer to the web site /individual college notice board and appear for the interview and final selection without fail.

M. Tech.

Eligibility

Applicant must be an Indian National.

Applicant shall have studied the Graduate course in an Institution approved by AICTE / Deemed Universities in India.

Candidate should have a minimum of 60 % aggregate marks in the Engineering degree Examination. For SC/ST candidates a pass in the Engineering Degree course is sufficient. For SEBC students, a minimum of 54% marks in the Engineering Degree examination is mandatory.
