KVM Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Cherthala

KVM Institute of Paramedical Sciences (KVMIPMS) was setup in 2009 to provide technically competent professionals for the rapidly changing health care needs of the society. And it is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur. KVM IPMS is administrated by KVM TRUST (K Velayudhan Memorial Trust) with Dr. V.V. Pyarelal as its director.
Admission Procedure
B.Sc. MLT

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or examinations recognized equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English put together, are eligible.

Allotment of seats: 50% of the seats are to be filled purely on the basis of allotment made by the Govt. of Kerala through LBS and 50% is reserved for management quota of which 15% is for NRI’s. Candidates having the required qualifications are admitted to the institute as per the norms applicable from time to time. The intake of the Institute is 30

Diploma in MLT
40% marks in science subjects in 10th, Plus 2 examination with physics, chemistry and Biology as optional subjects or any other examination recognized by the universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission. Relaxation of 10% marks will be allowed to candidates of SC/ST and 5% marks to candidates belonging to socially and educationally backward communities. Selection to the course will be strictly on merit.

Allotment of Seats 50 % of seats will be filled on the basis of State merit list prepared by DME, Govt. of Kerala and 50% of the seats is reserved for management quota. Application forms can be obtained from the institute’s office.

Diploma in Operation Theater Technology.
The Candidates should have passed with minimum 50% marks in Plus 2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. (40% marks for reserved candidates). Candidates having diploma in electronics / biomedical engineering / instrumentation from a recognized institution are preferable.

Allotment of seats: 50% of the seats will be filled on the basis of the state merit list prepared by DME, Govt. of Kerala. 50% of the seats are reserved for management quota. Application forms can be obtained from the Institute’s office. Admission will be given based on norms applicable from time to time. 2 years plus compulsory internship for six months.
