KVM College of Nursing was instituted in the academic year of 2002. It is located in the KVM Trust Complex near to the K.V.M Super specialty Hospital Complex, Cherthala, in Alappuzha District. It is affiliated to the Kerala University and Kerala University of Health Sciences, approved by Indian Nursing Council and Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council in the academic year 2002 attached to the KVM Super Specialty Hospital.

KVM College of Nursing (KVMCN), Alappuzha managed by K. Velayudhan Memorial Trust with the objective of providing relief and solace to the poor and needy, mainly in Charitable and Education field. The college is affiliated to the Kerala University and approved by Indian Nursing Council and Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council. The mission of the college is to impart quality education aimed at moulding professional nurses.

Eligibility Criteria

B.Sc Nursing
Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or examinations recognized equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English put together, are eligible.

M.Sc Nursing
Candidates, who have passed B.Sc. Degree in Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (Regular Course) or equivalent examination from universities outside Kerala and any of the Deemed universities, should produce the recognition/eligibility certificate from any of the Universities in Kerala on or before the last date of receipt of application.

Post Basic Nursing
Candidate should have passed Diploma in General nursing and Midwifery course recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and concerned State Councils with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate & KNMC Registration after having passed +2/Equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. No rounding off of the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is permitted. Candidates should have attained the academic eligibility on or before the last date specified for submission of application.
