Holy Cross College is a self-financing management college started in June 2003. Through a decision of the government of Kerala in 2002, permission was granted to start the college and in 2004 affiliation from the Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam was granted. The college is owned and managed by the Holy Cross Educational Trust Kottayam and chairman of the Trust is H.G Thomas Mar Themotheos, Metropolitan.

The Holy Cross Educational Trust plays a pivot role in the development of the infrastructure and other allied developments in the campus. As a centre of learning the College is playing a leading role in the development of management and software skills to an educationally backward region. From its inception, the heart of the mission is preparing students to become productive members of society and good citizens of the world. Holy cross college plans teaching across the full educational spectrum, under graduates to post graduates. At HCC, it educates, make discoveries, serve as an engine of economic growth, and generate ideas for improving people’s lives.
