Government Dental College, Kottayam was established in 2002 as the third dental college in govt. sector. It is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University and the courses offered are recognized by Dental Council of India (DCI). Currently, the college offers courses in the field of dental sciences, at the under graduation (BDS) level & postgraduate (MDS) level and the Admission for the first batch of BDS Students (40) was conducted on 9-9-2002.
