Govt. College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (GCPS), located in Kozhikode, Kerala was established in 2000 under the aegis of government of Kerala. It is affiliated to KUHS University & is approved by Pharmacy council of India.
GCPS is spread over an extensive area of about 270acres and is located about 10 km east from the heart of Calicut City.
The college has increased its intake of students from 50 to 200, after its inception. At first there were only diploma courses. It is the only one govt. college under Calicut university. The degree classes till now being conducted in the diploma college under the leadership of Kozkode Bpharm Stidents Association, a fund of 160 lakh is allotted to the building of new block. Now the fulltime BPharm course is provided with the intake of 20 students & Mpharm with 10 students for the branch of Pharmacy practice & Pharmaceutics.
